Abstract
International labor standards are one of the most contentious issues in contemporary world political debates. At the core of these debates are issues such as standards for wages, working hours and health and safety conditions of work, which directly affect the value of work, as well as child labor, gender equality in work and freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining. International labor standards are legal instruments developed by the ILO institutions (governments, employers and workers). They set out fundamental principles and rights at work. They are either conventions, which may be legally binding international treaties ratified by member states, or recommendations, which serve as non-binding guidelines. Convention 102 on Social Security, floor Standards, was adopted by the International Labor Organization in 1952, which provided a framework for the pursuit of social security coverage and social protection by setting floor standards in the events throughout life that require the provision of benefits to affected citizens, and states must guarantee the following provisions. Such as sickness benefits, unemployment benefits, occupational injury benefits, disability and invalidity benefits, family and child benefits, maternity benefits, old-age benefits, survivors' benefits. Subsequently, the ILO Recommendation No. 202 on Social Protection Floors was adopted in 2012, which affirmed the human right to economic and social security. This Recommendation is a normative standard for pursuing a comprehensive approach to the provision of social protection floors and determining the minimum coverage needed for all throughout the life cycle.
