Since the constitution in every country is a symbol of the political demands and hopes of the citizens, According to this belief, revision of the constitution is used as an accepted and pioneering action in building political power and in the field of written constitutions. As a result, these public expectations and needs are subject to change due to the variability of human society in every age, hence, revising the text and content of the constitution is a matter of necessity. It is considered probable and possible, and at the same time, it needs to be justified and explained. First, since the most basic rights and duties of citizens and the government and the most basic governance structures are determined in the constitution, this issue should be accompanied by changes with legal justifications. Article 177 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran deals with the revision of the Constitution and is the focus of this article. In the framework of the aforementioned principle, the initiative of revising the constitution is a leadership position, which is proposed, after consultation with the expediency council, in a ruling addressed to the president in the form of cases requiring amendment or completion of the constitution. Although the purpose of revising the constitution is stated in the justification of ensuring the durability of the ruling system and establishing stability for institutions and consolidating the basic foundations of governance, the upcoming article argues that during the discussion about the concept of revision and the experiences of constitutional writing in Iran, as well as Explaining the basics of the necessity of revision, to present a picture of the examples of non-revisable principles in the Constitution.
