Aims and Scope

The office of the Vice President for Legal Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran to improve the legal knowledge of experts, managers, and legal agents of the government on the one hand and to try to persuade the academic circles and the legal organization to solve legal problems and general needs of the society and to reflect theoretical and practical legal solutions to resolve the differences of the institutions executive, publishes the scientific journal "Government and Law".

The quarterly scientific journal of “Government and Law” covers an exceptionally broad spectrum of legal issues relating to governance. In addition, to provide an intellectual environment for researchers, academicians, and the legal community at the national and international levels, this scientific Journal focuses on the current national and international challenges. To encourage debate, the editors publish Forum pieces and discussion papers from authoritative writers in the field.

The journal is essential reading for academics and students of Public, Comparative, and international law, officers in relevant NGOs, lawyers, politicians and civil servants, human rights activists, and the interested general public. It aims at:

  • Improving the legal knowledge of government experts, managers, and legal brokers;
  • Providing a knowledge-oriented approach to the performance of the legal organizations of Government;
  • Creating coherence and coordination in the legal organization of the government and promoting the unity of legal procedure in the performance of executive bodies;
  • Reflecting the issues, problems, and legal needs of the country's executive bodies to academic circles to direct the attention of professors and legal researchers to these problems and issues;
  • Reflecting the opinions, analyses, and scientific criticisms of the academic community on the decisions and actions of the government's legal organization to improve the performance of the executive bodies;
  • Trying to bring the academic circles and the legal organization of the government closer together through cooperation to solve the problems and legal problems of the government;
  • Providing suitable legal solutions to the executive bodies to solve the current obstacles and problems of the government;
  • Using scientific and practical experiences of experts, managers, and legal experts of other authorities;
  • And, other related issues.
